Chichaqu Heavyweight Sweatshirt

This fabric was a long time in the making. We developed a custom heavyweight loopback cotton using extra-long staple fibers, woven densely on vintage machines to achieve a remarkable 560gsm—a statement in weight and quality. (Most standard sweatshirts fall below 380gsm.) The face shows a clear, pronounced texture, while the interior is softly brushed, striking a rare balance between substantial heft and next-to-skin comfort.

The cut is updated for winter ease—slightly relaxed with dropped shoulders and a considered length for a natural, unrestricting drape. It’s designed to be inclusive, accommodating a wider range of builds. A refined, smaller rib collar gives a sharper, more polished silhouette.

Detailing sets it apart: two discreet patch pockets on the front (an uncommon feature for a sweatshirt) add both utility and subtle character. It’s finished with a white embroidered gourd logo at the chest.
